The 6 walls of this hexagonal arena all stand over 7 feet above the canvas leaving no escape for any who dare to enter, it is truly an amazing environment for martial arts combatants, and spectators alike. Fighters will compete in skills according to their ability and rules vary, from full Pro MMA rules (there will be at least 3 pro fights at each event) to rules similar to those used in amateur shooto. Tapout/Underground MMA announces first three events for 2010

Australia's premier amateur caged event is set to bring the steel caged Hexagon to Toowoomba Queeensland for the first time. The event will be held at the USQ basketball stadium and will showcase some of Qld's hottest up and coming MMA talent. Toowoomba has always represented itself well in the Aussie MMA scene and is well known for producing many a tough fighter.

The Lismore Workers Club, Lismore, New South Wales will host Underground MMA for the second event in the Northern Rivers area. The first event was held at Bangalow on Oct 2nd last year. Last Octobers event generated a huge amount of interest from local fighters and spectators, so no doubt this event will be even bigger.

Excitingly, the third event will see caged MMA arrive at Queenslands beautiful Hervey Bay. This event is scheduled for Saturday the 27th of March at the Hervey Bay PCYC.

Fight cards for each of these events will be announced soon. Tapout Underground MMA is set to be hosting an event on average every four weeks up and down the east coast of Australia in 2010. The sole purpose of this series is to develop the amateur ranks and overall standard of MMA fighters in this country. Fighters will have the opportunity to fight in a class appropriate to their skill level.
